Hastings Chesterfield Collection
Each Winchester Chesterfield is handmade in our British workshop using traditional upholstery methods passed down through generations. You can explore our full craft lineage in the Heritage Timeline, which documents how our techniques have evolved since the early makers.

Craft & Construction
The Hastings is individually hand deep‑buttoned across the back and arms, with each pleat shaped by our skilled craftspeople to create a crisp, refined diamond pattern. The slimmer scroll arms and elevated back give the model its distinctive modern‑classic profile while retaining the sculpted precision of traditional British upholstery.
The frame is hand‑joined from solid hardwood, dowelled, glued and screwed for enduring strength. Each piece is finished with individually hand‑nailed studs, placed one at a time to complement the model’s elegant proportions.
This model is crafted using the same deep‑buttoning and hand‑tied techniques described in our Craft & Upholstery Guide, ensuring every Hastings reflects true British maker skill rather than mass‑produced retail methods.

The Hastings is available in a wide choice of premium leathers selected for character, durability and natural ageing. Smooth full‑grain hides emphasise the model’s contemporary lines, while Antique‑finished leathers highlight the depth of the buttoning and traditional detailing.

We have selected what we believe to be the best standard filling materials to provide optimum support for each model, allowing the springs to do their job.

A detailed specification sheet is available for every model in the Hastings Collection.
