Henry Chesterfield Collection
Each Winchester Chesterfield is handmade in our British workshop using traditional upholstery methods passed down through generations. You can explore our full craft lineage in the Heritage Timeline, and the techniques behind every model are detailed in our Craft & Upholstery Guide, which outlines the traditional methods we use to build each piece.
The Henry Collection
The Henry Chesterfield is a relaxed, contemporary interpretation of the classic British design. With its smooth, unbuttoned back and arms, soft fibre‑filled back cushions and generously padded fibre seat cushions, the Henry offers a more informal, inviting take on the traditional Chesterfield silhouette. The clean leather panels and gently rolled arms retain the unmistakable heritage profile, while the soft cushions introduce a modern comfort that suits everyday living. Built on a hand‑joined hardwood frame and upholstered entirely by hand, the Henry delivers a warm, comfortable sit with a calm, lived‑in elegance.

Craft & Construction
The Henry is crafted with smooth, unbuttoned leather panels across the back, arms and front border. This plain‑panelled style demands exceptional precision in leather cutting, stretching and hand‑tacking, as every seam and curve must be perfectly aligned.
The defining comfort feature of the Henry is its soft fibre back cushions and soft fibre seat cushions, shaped and filled by hand to create a relaxed, welcoming sit. These cushions offer a more casual comfort than traditional buttoned or foam‑core models, giving the Henry its signature softness.
The frame is hand‑joined from solid hardwood, dowelled, glued and screwed for enduring strength. Every element is crafted using the traditional British upholstery methods outlined in our Craft & Upholstery Guide, ensuring structure, comfort and long‑term durability.
