Francesco La Rosa is a contemporary Sicilian artist known for his rare technique of micro‑carving on leather. Working millimetre by millimetre with scalpels and fine blades, he creates large‑scale works that allow no margin for error. Born in Catania, he developed an early passion for both art and the craftsmanship of knives, later studying at the Art Institute of Catania and drawing inspiration from masters such as Rembrandt, Leonardo da Vinci and Caravaggio.Before discovering his signature technique in 2013, Francesco worked across photography, tattooing, restoration and design. His leather‑carved works have since been exhibited in churches, featured at major events including Fashion Week, and showcased through collaborations with international brands.His discipline, precision and expressive depth align naturally with Winchester’s own values of craftsmanship and artistry.
