Bar Stools
Each Winchester piece is handmade in our British workshop using traditional upholstery methods passed down through generations. Our Heritage Timeline traces the craft lineage behind every model, while the Craft & Upholstery Guide outlines the techniques and materials that define Winchester’s maker identity.
The Bar Stools
The Winchester Bar Stools are a refined, elevated seating design shaped with the same heritage craftsmanship and material discipline that define every piece in our collection. Built from solid beech and finished in a rich mahogany stain, the stools carry a warm, traditional character suited to kitchens, bars and informal dining spaces.
The brass‑inlaid footrest introduces a subtle note of refinement, offering both durability and a period‑correct detail rooted in English furniture tradition. Whether used individually or as a set, the Bar Stools bring proportion, comfort and quiet sophistication to any interior.

Craft & Construction
The Bar Stools are crafted using the same heritage methods applied to our classic seating, with every stage shaped by hand in accordance with the principles outlined in our Craft & Upholstery Guide.
• Solid beech frame, selected for strength, stability and fine grain
• Mahogany‑stained finish, hand‑applied to achieve depth, warmth and period authenticity
• Brass‑inlaid footrest, engineered for durability and refined visual detail
• Hand‑shaped legs and rails, dowelled, glued and screwed for long‑term integrity
• Optional upholstered seat, available in full‑grain leathers or fabrics
Every detail, from the shaping of the frame to the finishing of the brass, reflects the discipline and precision of true British craftsmanship.
The Bar Stools can be finished in a curated selection of traditional wood stains, each chosen to complement the grain of solid beech and align with Winchester’s heritage palette.
• Mahogany —a deep, warm finish with period‑correct richness
• Dark Oak — a cooler, more architectural tone with understated depth
• Walnut — a balanced mid‑tone with refined, classic character
• Antique Oak — a lighter, heritage‑inspired finish with gentle warmth
• Ebony — a bold, contemporary interpretation with a clean, sculptural presence
Each stain is hand‑applied and sealed for durability, ensuring a finish that ages with grace and retains its depth over time.

If upholstered, the Bar Stools can be finished in a wide selection of full‑grain leathers chosen for character, durability and natural ageing.
Antique‑finished hides offer a traditional appearance, while full‑grain leathers provide a more contemporary interpretation of this classic form.
Fabric options are also available for a softer, more relaxed aesthetic.
