The Cambridge Collection
The Cambridge Chesterfield is a refined, contemporary‑classic model designed for those who want the elegance of a traditional Chesterfield with a cleaner, more understated silhouette. With its slimmer square arms, beautifully balanced proportions and deep hand‑buttoned back, the Cambridge offers a sophisticated presence that suits both modern and period interiors. Built on a hand‑joined hardwood frame and upholstered entirely by hand, it delivers a tailored, comfortable sit with unmistakable British‑maker character.
Craft & Construction
The Cambridge is individually hand deep‑buttoned across the back and arms, with each pleat shaped by our skilled craftspeople to create a crisp, refined diamond pattern. The slimmer scroll arms give the model its distinctive modern‑classic profile while retaining the sculpted precision of traditional British upholstery.
The frame is hand‑joined from solid hardwood, dowelled, glued and screwed for enduring strength. Each piece is finished with individually hand‑nailed studs, placed one at a time to complement the model’s clean, elegant lines.
This model is crafted using the same deep‑buttoning and hand‑tied techniques described in our Craft & Upholstery Guide, ensuring every Cambridge reflects true British maker skill rather than mass‑produced retail methods.
