The Viscount Collection
The Viscount is a distinguished, elevated interpretation of the classic Chesterfield. With a higher back, deeper seat and a more upright posture, it offers a stately presence while retaining the full depth of traditional buttoning and sculpted scroll arms. Built on a hand‑joined hardwood frame and upholstered entirely by hand, the Viscount blends heritage craft with refined comfort.

Craft & Construction
The Viscount is individually hand deep‑buttoned across the back and arms, with a taller backrest that showcases the diamond pattern in full. Each pleat is shaped by our skilled craftspeople, and every button is set by hand.
The frame is hand‑joined from solid hardwood, dowelled, glued and screwed for enduring strength. The scroll arms are sumptuously padded and finished with individually hand‑nailed studs, placed one at a time.
This piece is built using the same deep‑buttoning and hand‑tied techniques described in our Craft & Upholstery Guide, ensuring every Viscount reflects true British maker skill rather than mass‑produced retail methods.

Leather Options

The Viscount is available in a wide choice of premium leathers selected for character, durability and natural ageing. Traditional Antique finishes highlight the buttoning beautifully, while full‑grain hides offer a more contemporary interpretation.

We use the best standard filling materials to provide optimum support for each model, allowing the springs to perform as intended.
